Back to blogging? Unfortunately, not quite a routine comeback
Mid term exam week just ended a week ago and that was really one full of panicking week, thanks to all the overflowing deadlines which is probably one downside of being an art student ehe, pardon the excuses. So a short summary about the hectic week; there were three projects that had to be done – a minimum of six pages magazine spreads (redesigning our originally picked magazine), a history group project regarding the field trip to a transportation museum and an A2-sized pencil drawing of human interaction. I guess it’s really predictable (is it not?) that the one who got most of us panicking was the magazine spreads assignment. It’s a typical computer graphic task, actually but it’s really not fun when you have to design things in just, what, less than a week and then print everything out within five days. Worse, the deadline – which was April 25 – was the same day we had our typography theory exam. Exactly, t-h-e-o-r-y exam. And there I thought I was done with theory crap exams by the time I quit high school
Not to mention when I first printed out my 20-pages (uh-huh twenty because I end up doing spreads for 10 articles, four times a lot more than the minimum), there was something wrong and I had to reprint the booklet in another digital printing shop. Meh, the first one was a lot more expensive too. (;≧皿≦) Anyway, the result turned out pretty okay (pretty okay because uh, I can’t seem to praise myself for these things ehe). Oh and the magazine of my choice was Nat Geo Traveler.
Moving on (and let’s dump the university nonsense for now), I’ve been watching tv series and movies (animated and not) quite a lot recently, western and Japanese ones (tokusatsu geeks and anime, yup). I bought DVDs quite a lot last week and I’ve spent days watching almost all of them. The first one that I watched gleefully was Rise of the Guardians. I know I know, I was so late, wasn’t I and oh, how I wish I could have watched it in 3D with my friend
because the animation was really smooth and amazing and did I mention how I love everyone even Pitch? And well yeah, everyone loves Jack Frost haha. He really has that “hey I am Chris Pine on the inside” atmosphere despite being just an animated character, how is that even possible \(◕ω◕✿)/ Dreamworks just earned all my love and blood …Dreamworks make me pick him over Pixar. Is this a blasphemy, I wonder haha then again, I consider them both as equally superior. Despite being so in love over Dreamworks due to Jack Frost (and Sandman because I love him as much), I will forever admire Pixar and thank the group for bringing Mike Wazowski of Monsters Inc into my childhood. Other animated movies I watched were Hotel Transylvania, Brave, How To Train Your Dragon (again because really, Dreamworks kind of owned me already when they made this) and Wreck it Ralph.
For TV series… I finished CSI Miami though wow, that was really fast, uh.. kind of rushed too? Hm, whatever. Now waiting for CSI NY 10 after finishing the 9th and I should probably watch the CSI Vegas too ( ´△`). On the other hand, I tried watching Elementary and it wasn’t so bad. I’m actually annoyed by how people always seem to compare Elementary with Sherlock with their “the Sherlock in Elementary is not as original” or anything along that line. I’ve always known John Miller’s Sherlock is not the same with Benedict Cucumberbatch’s but that didn’t make me think it’s awful or anything. I just need to get used to the fact that they replaced John with Joan Watson. Oh well, Miller’s Sherlock was amusing too so it was worth it. Also, I’ve finished Once Upon A Time’s season one yay
it was good and I love Red/Ruby and dislike Aurora …still need to continue the 2nd season though.
Aside from those, hello fellow Game of Thrones fan and hello to the fandom itself! I’ve finished the first two seasons and it was just……wow. The houses kind of remind of Hogwarts Houses – Stark being Gryffindor (obviously), Lannister being Slytherin…though I can’t point out which one should be the Ravenclaw and/or Hufflepuff though. After watching the series, I end up bowing down to Daenerys because true queen, alright
she’s one of my favorite female characters with Arya being the second – or maybe not, maybe they share the same rank haha. Hm then there’s Robb Stark whom I really admire because of the way he’s such a leader and Tyrion Lannister who’s just really cunning and witty and Slytherin-like, making him my favorite Lannister. I still have an unresolved feeling for Cersei and Jaime but I know I hate Joffreakingfrey so much (┛◉Д◉)┛彡┻━┻ My top three houses would be the Lannister, Targaryen and Stark because they have wolves as pets and I want that. I just really love wolves and the canidae (canine) family.
For anime, I’m currently watching Star Driver, Karneval and Conan movies I haven’t watched. I miss Conan and Haibara so.. (*ノωノ) Just finished Psycho Pass too and it’s a good dystopian, futuristic anime. Highly recommended! Haha… Other than anime, I tend to sleep at three dawn due to video gaming. This is the bad side of having a hand held console, you play it under the blanket with lights out while everyone else has fallen to dreamland. I end up waking at 12 noon. Heck yeah 12 hours of sleep hibernation
I’m currently addicted to Fate Extra, Valkyria Chronicles II and some that I’m replaying from zero – Persona 3, Disgaea Afternoon After Darkness, Sims 2 Pets and Warriors Orochi.
Pass the whole “how to procrastinate your days like a boss” moments, I just turned myself into an intense pescetarian. I’m obsessed with weight loss, organic food and diet. Bad shit, probably because my eating pattern is really abnormal
I’m just that afraid to gain weight again and I’m horrified when I did, even though it’s just a kilogram. Everyone seems to be telling me that I’m all bones now for being 45-46kg at 160cm height, with a BMI of 18…which is not um, good?
But uh, I can’t stop, not yet so… Anyway, shush the angsty moody part, I’ve been eating veggies like a goat and I love love it! Salad and salmon / tuna are my main muse now, hehe

Muesli, oatmeal, fruits, salad, pistachio and almonds
I don’t want to eat granola though because it consists of roasted oats, right and well, from what I read, muesli is better than granola. I recommend the simply nutty from Dorset Cereals for those who dislike raisins, like me. I know that not every muesli is healthy and low calorie because of their sugar but uh, it gives me a better feeling instead of getting scared like how I am every now and then whenever I see meat or noodles pasta and stuff.
Oh and don’t forget homemade smoothies! I love them, I love experimenting with all sorts of fruits. The best one would be strawberry, blueberry and banana with skim milk and plain yogurt. I guess anything with banana turns deli-yummy and sweet~ pineapple-banana is a good combination too. I always use skim milk and yogurt or yakult with me sometimes, never ice cream or vanilla flavoring or ice. Don’t dare to. Lemon-orange-mint leaves make a good sour combination too. I love sour things so it’s my favorite combination.
Speaking of pineapple:

I love the pina colada!
I want to try making one myself but I’ll have to find the coconut cream then…I’m leaving out the rum because I don’t think I’d even buy it. I was thinking of using skim milk to replace the coconut cream but uh, that’d be pineapple smoothie right… the resto I had pina colada is also a favorite place for me to have my “sweets once a week” consumption – I love cakes too much, you see.

a red velvet in a jar and a millefeuille
such a sin I’ve committed lol
Teenagers these days, or so I’ve found, love macaroons and red velvet so much their pictures are everywhere on instagram. I don’t like macaroons though, they’re too sweet in a “I’ll just eat this extremely rarely” kind of way. Plus, they’re expensive despite the sizes. Crazy, huh. The best red velvet isn’t the one on the picture, though. Nonetheless, the millefeuille is an absolute greatness. I love millefeuille, it’s one of my favorite pastry tehee
the second one being molten chocolate lava cake or whatever it is called in your country/area.
As soon as Sunday’s over, I’m back to my eating disorder policy and I start weighing myself again, feeling anxious every five minutes.
I’ve learned how to order a skinny starbucks though, a way which makes my mother and the barista to stare at me in disbelief; ice vanilla latte, extra double shot of espresso, light sweet (meaning lesser syrup than the standard; I think the starbucks here have no sugar free syrup or the barista is just plain stupid about it) and with non fat milk. It’s really bitter, bro but for the sake of indulgence without increasing the scale’s number too high..
top: mom’s green tea red bean
bottom: my skinny vanilla latte
I think it’s kind of surprising to see a 17 year old drinking coffee like how an old man would? It may not be weird in your country but here, teens my age tend to like things sweet and fattening and cheesy while I prefer to stay on the sour side for safety precaution. The fear is too much
Uh, seeing how this post is really lengthy, I’m going to end things here and post a continuation um,hopefully soon so I won’t rant endlessly to thin air like now. Alright, chop chop, time to play more video games and sleep at dawn! ![]()
P.S: for those who haven’t watched Cloud Atlas, watch how mindblowing that thing is! It left me jaw dropped on my seat and I was left speechless. It’s the best 2013 movie I’ve seen so far. Really amazing two-hours (and few minutes more, lol) movie.
